Completion date: 2019 Role: Principal Designer - Interiors
Overview: New construction of a high-rise hotel on the edge of the Thames.
In the 1700s, Blackfriars became a fashionable residential district.
In the 2000s, the Tate Modern transformed the neighborhood.
At the end of Blackfriars Bridge, Dayna, Ted and the Powerstrip Studio designers scribbled on paper and shaped the interior architectural geometry, collected midcentury art, custom-designed furnishings and illustrated textiles to be woven, and conceptualized sculptural elements within. Bankside Hotel is for the globetrotting creative worker bee set. For Powerstrip Studio, we wanted to create a luxurious live-in art school with polish.
